Airflex Spectra ventilation ducts are used for air transfer in ventilation and recovery systems in residential, public, and industrial buildings.

The inner wall is entirely made of an antibacterial and antifungal material, which protects the ducts from colonization by undesirable microorganisms dangerous to humans. The material from which the ducts are made was developed by Ingremio and is protected by patents. It was created in cooperation with scientific centers within a research project, during which its high effectiveness against various types of bacteria and fungi was confirmed. The material contains silver, copper, and other microbiologically active compounds in the polymer matrix, so they do not undergo migration, ionization, and elution. The virtual absence of migration of biologically active compounds from the polymer has been confirmed in laboratory tests performed in environments much more aggressive compared to those of ventilation systems. The substances used practically provide an indeterminate bactericidal and fungicidal effect and prevent the formation of defense mechanisms of bacteria and fungi regardless of air temperature and humidity. The composition of the materials used is entirely safe for humans, animals, and plants. In addition, all materials used are approved for food contact.

The ducts are characterized by very high flexibility, allowing them to be freely shaped, bent to very small radii (according to permissible bending radii), and adapted to installation conditions without the need for additional fasteners or fittings. The duct structure ensures mechanical compression resistance of over 500 N, which allows them to be cast with structural concrete during construction work. The internal wall of the duct also has an antistatic effect, which reduces the sedimentation and accumulation of dust in the ducts. The smooth internal surface allows for high airflow with reduced pressure losses, contributing to the low energy consumption of the entire system. It also facilitates cleaning of the ducts, if necessary. The double structure of the ventilation ducts, with a correctly profiled internal wall and enclosed air gaps, largely suppresses the entry of noise caused by internal airflow and provides thermal insulation.

Airflex Spectra ventilation ducts are available in a wide range of diameters, allowing for optimal selection to meet the requirements of the ventilation system and construction conditions. The ends of the ducts are sealed during the production process. The entire coil is protected with foil, which prevents possible contamination during transport and storage.

According to the Minister of Infrastructure's Regulation on the technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location, Airflex Spectra type ventilation ducts should be installed in single-family buildings that are not subject to fire reaction requirements.

* The original and patented method of determining the dispersion of microbiologically active components in the polymer allows for immediate verification of the presence of active substances, their dispersion, and concentration in the plastic material. The Airflex Spectra ventilation duct, when illuminated with UV light, fluoresces uniformly in blue light for immediate analysis of microbiological protection.
